Brown Girls Do Ballet

As Blog Manager for this 501(c)3 organization, I was tasked with seeking and interviewing dancers of color, publishing impactful features about their experiences in the dance industry and beyond. Some of my favorites are:
- Dance Atlanta: An Ode to Self Expression and ATL’s Fiercest with photographer Shoccara Marcus
- Health Advocacy and Recovering from Surgery: an Interview with Brown Ballerina Ambassador Sophia Cooper
- Ballet After Dark: Somatic Healing After Sexual Trauma
Dancegeist Magazine
Dancegeist Magazine wanted to publish a story highlighting the efforts of Joffrey Texas directors Kenny Borchard and Mauro Villanueva as they strived to create opportunities for inclusivity and accessibility to their dance lessons. I interviewed the directors, professional ballet teacher Christina Johnson, and several other relevant individuals in order to craft an enlightening article showcasing the school’s developments in expanding equal access for dancers of color. The article was published in the June 2021 issue of Dancegeist Magazine. Read it here.
The Brand of B

As blogger, author, and podcast host Brittany Williams began expanding her reach and launching new, consistent content, she wanted her website to reflect all of her hard work. After a brief interview with me, I was able to construct a biography for Brittany that not only highlighted her achievements, but captured her personality and aligned with her business goals.
RD Reloaded Photography

RD Reloaded Photography needed to add more depth to its website. I worked closely with the CEO to help him identify the vibe he wanted his website to give. By finding subtle ways to blend his personality with his brand, I was able to write a bio page that captured his essence as a photographer.
